LIMBE COUNCIL CITY/FENASSCO LEAGUE A: LIMBE HOSTS BEST GAMES SO FAR
The Curtins for the 24 edition of the National Finals of the FENASSCO League “A” Games were drawn in Limbe on Tuesday April 9th in Limbe.
The over one week games in the “Town of Friendship and Opportunities” were described by Secondary Education Minister Professor NALOVA LYONGA as the “Best Games that have ever held”.
This she earlier attributed to the unmatched mobilisation prowess of Limbe City Mayor Paul EFOME LISOMBE MBOLE NGALE. The closing ceremony of the games witness the presence of several ministers and dignitaries whose presence added the grandeur of the event.
The games which saw the participation of close to 1500 athletes drawn from schools around the country, competed in 12 disciplines. The Center region emerged the overall winner on the medal table with 58 medals (36 gold, 11 Silver and 11 Bronze).
From the 2nd to 9th of April 2024, the sports-loving population of Limbe answered present to give the pomp to cheer these games which unfolded under the theme : “School Games, A Guarantee of Peace and Sustainable Development”
The MINESEC Boss announced that next year’s games shall be hosted by Abong Bang in Bipindi of the East region.
